BRUNO SCHOLM Peacefully, on Saturday, April 16, 2005 at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre, Bruno Scholm, aged 65 years. Bruno was born in Austria on April 22, 1939. He had one brother and two sisters. He was raised by his mother and received his formative education there. He served in the Austrian Army, receiving an honourable discharge. Following employment in a textile factory doing colours, and also as a labourer for Shell Oil Company he came to Canada in 1960. Bruno lived and worked in Edmonton as a bricklayer until 1967, when he moved to Winnipeg. As a young man he was an avid weightlifter, enjoyed baseball, activities with friends and the Open Door Club.
